PS3 developer kits arrived in UK

Months after the first developer kits were provided to developers in Japan, Sony has also shipped Playstation 3 developer kits to select companies in the UK, reports gamesindustry.biz. The kits are based on a chip called the “cell”, developed by Sony, IBM and Toshiba. Graphics are powered by an NVIDIA chip.

The public may get their first glance at the new Playstation console in May 2005 at the E3 conference in Los Angeles. Before you plan your trip to L.A., please note that the Electronic Entertainment Expo E3 is a trade event and is not open to the general public.
