Xbox 360 Release Date November 25
The much-anticipated Xbox 360 console looks set for release on November 25 this year.
Arguably, the Xbox 360 November 25 release date has been chosen to coincide with the busiest shopping day of the US year: the day after Thanksgiving (aka “Black Friday”). While Microsoft has neither confirmed nor denied the November 25 release date for the Xbox 360, it does fit with statements made by Bill Gates and MTV earlier this year, around the time of the Xbox 360’s reveal show.
Gates himself announced earlier this year that the Xbox 360 console will be available before the end of the year. Trailers for May’s Xbox 360 reveal show were more specific, naming November as the Xbox 360 release date.
According to initial reports on Engadget, the Xbox 360 was to be released on November 4 in time for the holiday shopping period. Following this, reports surfaced that the Xbox 360 would be released on November 15 to coincide with the 4 year anniversary of the original Xbox’s release date. In light of recent articles, it is possible that Microsoft has chosen the later November 25 release date to give game developers a little more time to work on their launch titles. Three major US software retailers have leaked information revealing that launch day games are set to reach their stores by November 22 in preparation for the Friday 25 November release date.
For those gamers who want to get their hands on the Xbox 360 in time for Christmas 2005, we recommend pre-ordering to avoid disappointment.
