I am currently in the UK and could always buy/mail ps3 to RSA... hta is if you are willing to pay any import duties.... I just got my Japanese ps3 this week and Game is now taking pre orders for march as of today. I am on the priority listing so I can order it before the general public. For me, a ps3 with 3 games on pre order is only £570!!!!! Ouch, man! That would mean that for south africans, the cost would be around R8500 to R9000!!! Ouch! Problem is they only do bundles. Other places do system only and sell it for £430. So there are options. Thing is, all games work on all systems regardless of country so if you just want to play games, then a Jap/ HK/ USA system will work for you. The Jap version comes with built in power regulation so will work in any country regardless of voltage and the power cable is a normal pc cable or kettle cord so a plug is no problem either... Games... I bought my first game on eBay and only paid £15 for it inclouding shipping. The only problem you might have with a Jap system is the blu rays since it only plays movies from Jap and USA so you will have to import all your movies. Also, ps2 games, you will have to have NTSC games for it to be backwards compatible. If you want me to get you a system and mail it over, just let me know at ps3focus AT jaccojansen DOT co DOT uk

The million dollar question : when can south africa expect ps3? Nobody really seems to know (?nov overseas) , but what about the poor south african addicts? (Joke). Any costs available for the full package and where can one contact distributors in time? Thank you in kind for your effort - it is much appreciated! Etienne marais (g. P.
