The most outstanding game appears to be KillZone 2. A video presentation with gameplay scenes of this first person shooter wowed the audience at the recent E3 conference. The Playstation 3 graphics were as detailed and realistic as pre-rendered CG movies. Worried parents wonder whether so much graphic detail and realism in a game all about killing is a good thing.

The developers of The Getaway 3 impressed onlookers with an extremely detailed and life-like rendition of the busy streets of London - lots of traffic, pedestrians, double-decker buses and London taxis. Mind you, the previous two Getaway games that came out for Playstation 2 already represented a milestone achievement in terms of realistic graphics, but the visuals of the Playstation 3 console may literally transfer you right into the middle of London. We’re left wondering, will we be able to take trips on the London underground as well? Will we be able to overrun, or better yet, first shoot, then overrun, the mentally ill individuals found at Hyde Park’s Speaker’s Corner?
