Ken Kutaragi to stay with Sony
Outspoken “Father of Play Station” Ken Kutaragi was recently skipped when a new Sony president was elected in March 2005. Kutaragi-san’s recent successes include the Sony PSP which has turned to be a bestseller in the US. Kutaragi-san is valued as a gifted engineer, but the boss seat has been given to Howard Stringer, vice chairman and head of Sony Corporation of America.

Ken Kutaragi will continue to work on the next Playstation 3 but as the head of the Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) gaming division. His recent resignation as the executive deputy president will also be followed by a step down as head of Sony’s home electronics and semiconductor solutions divisions.
