I would prefer if blu-ray was decoded through the player so software resources could be conserved but there is nothing you can do i guess. shrimpy is right saying that games make a console however, i have always been a sucker for graphics and as long as i can get a game with equally as compelling storyline, gameplay, and replay value, i will choose graphics. I think that because of this software rendering blu-ray that both systems will be on equal tiers of graphic power making the decision a very hard one.

when do people think this system will actually release?

and, refresh my memory, has this secretive approach to releasing a console (within 3-6 months) ever happened in the past?
