Did anyone consider the cost of the games? I am only going to get the ps3 if the price is $500-700. From the supercomputer like performence of ps3 i guess it is worth more, and perhaps more than a modern computer. Sorry that I have to get somewhat geeky but heres some backgroung info. The cell processor is 90nm, the same as processors of 2005. A 2 core 90nm processor can generate a lot of heat, the ps3 has 8. I really don’t want my ps3 to suffer overheating problems and freezes like the 360. If they shrunk the core to 65nm or lower that would be better for heat disapation. Another thing, Sony says that the processor will be clocked at 3.2GHz but it can reach speeds over 4GHz (No PC to this date has a processor that is 4Ghz unless their computer is overclocked-some what unstable to overclock) This is how the price will be about $499. The military is currently buying/using the cell processor form IMB.
