First of all, you want all the business you can get on your new product especially with other competitions around, and by having a rediculous price to start it out with isn’t a very good way of doing it and losing or pushing away your customers.
I personally think that the new PS3 console should be priced at $299.99 and this would be a very fair price and everyone knows at this price you would double or triple in profits as well as staying out of stock and reserves being made for the console more than it would be at the much higher price.
I personally think you are gonna hurt yourself in the long run at a higher price and not sale as many as you think or plan to because of the price tag being so high. You should give this serious consideration of thought before this console is released for sale to the market. At the $299.99 price tag you would sell more ps3 consoles in 1 week than what xbox360 did in a month. Im a big time ps2 and maybe a ps3 console player.
But I am not going over a 299.99 price tag for one and if it stays at this price 299.99 then I will be purchasing 3 of them.
Anything over that amount would push people away more than sales would get made, time will tell and you will see what happens.
