Geez, everyone sounds like they’re writing a letter to santa clause! if everyone would actually READ the press releases and the news on the progress of each task envolved in the pre release, you would know that blue ray had some format issues in regards to piracy, which were just resolved and that the (pretty much official) release date is november, and sony is pushing for a mostly simultaneous world wide release. also, read the specs and compare them to xbox. the ps3 is all around 2-3 times the machine 360 is. two words: cell processor.
