Sir,
I would like to know if the playstation 3 is compatiable with playstation 1 and 2 games. Many of the stores that sell the playstation 3 has stated that it doesn’t, it does, or it will playstation 1 games but only certain playstation 2 games. I was recently told(9-10-08) from a Gamestop and Walmart representative that a new version of playstation 3 was going to be released and it will play all the playstation 1 and 2 games due to the fact that it was going to be installed with the compatiability chip. I would reallly like to know the truth and if it is possible to buy a playstation 3 that is compatiable with playstation 1 and 2 games. I would just like to be given a straight answer so I do not have to switch to the XBox 360!
