The exact same predictions whee made last gen when those “super consoles” where launched. And look where we are now, laughing at the ancient technology of PS2 and XBOX and wondering if PS3 and X360 can take down the PC.

It ain’t gonna happen and MS’s renewed focus on the PC as a gaming machine along with Vista and DX10 is only going to make the PC’s position even stronger. Mark my words, you will be making the same stupid claims 5 years from now when PS4 and Xbox 3 are launching. And then again 5 years after that and so on until consoles die out in favour of computers which come pre-built into homes that can do it all.

And for the record, neither next gen console has been more powerful than the best PC’s at launch although X360 at least had a good shot at the highest end single card system. PS3 will practically be midrange though by the time its launched! A sad day for Sony fans…..
