How many people have $500 High end graphic because of the developers make games to be compatible with mid range systems, so graphics cards don’t never get fully utilized. plus the headache for developers about different OS, CPU strength and difference betweens GPU.
Installing software, patches, reboots, slow down….. the list is endless

Aside half life the original doom, sims and commandos the pc has not much going for it terms of gaming sales are going down every year. Next generation of fully capable consoles will finish off of what left of the pc game market.
